Weighing Industry Association of Australia (WIAA)

Our membership with the WIAA ensures we stay abreast of weighing industry developments, so we can continue to provide our customers with the latest products and services.

WIAA is the National Body representing companies and businesses engaged in the manufacture, sale and service of laboratory, industrial and retail weighing equipment.

NATA

Wedderburn is proud to be a long-time member of NATA. Wedderburn’s NATA laboratories are located throughout Australia and offer fast, efficient turnaround for all calibration needs including NATA Endorsed Calibrations, Calibration Reports and Performance Certificates for masses, scales and balances.

The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) is Australia’s national accreditation body for the accreditation of laboratories, inspection bodies, calibration services, producers of certified reference materials and proficiency testing scheme providers throughout Australia.

Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA)

Being a member of APPMA helps Wedderburn stays up to date with the latest developments and standards in the packaging industry.

The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) represents Australia’s leading packaging and processing machinery and allied components companies.

GS1 Australia

As a recognised GS1 solution partner you can have confidence that we know the GS1 standards inside and out. We’re comprehensively trained in GS1 standards and implementation and supply an extensive range of products and solutions including Printers, Labels, Warehouse Management and Software.

GS1 supply and manage barcode numbers and operate and manage supply chain standards in accordance with their global GS1 system.

National Measurement Institute (NMI)

Wedderburn is qualified to test and verify measuring equipment that is used for trade. As a servicing licensee we maintain a quality management system detailing all processes, procedures, equipment and reference materials required to properly verify measuring instruments. Our NMI Membership ensures you can rely on our national network, to verify the accuracy of your equipment.

NMI is the Australian Government’s authority on measurement. NMI maintain and regulate the measurement system by developing and maintaining national measurement standards.

Flexible Printing and Label Manufacturers Association (FPLMA)

Our membership with the FPMLA ensures we have access to the latest international printing trends and technical information, so we can continue to provide our customers high quality labels. 

THE FPLMA is the Label industry technical association, it aims to impart technical information to the Australian printing industry.

UPM RafCycle™

Wedderburn is incredibly proud to be a member of the UPM RafCycle™ program. Our membership enables us to provide our customers with a solution for recycling their label backing liner waste.

RafCycle™ was established by UPM Raflatac and has been active in Europe since 2009. RafCycle™ converts glassine backing liner waste that would otherwise be destined for landfill into a high quality resources such a backing liner or magazine paper. Wedderburn Australia is now a part of the program and we sent our first container to the RafCycle™ plant in 2019. 

Printing Industries Association

Our membership with the Printing Industries Association helps support the printing industry in Australia. Being a member ensures we stay abreast of industry best practice and connects us with other industry leaders. 

The Printing Industries Association of Australia is the leadership and support organisation for all businesses in the print, packaging, graphic design and media technology industry in Australia. It highlights the contribution printing makes to the Australian economy, as one of the largest employers in the manufacturing sector.

Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO)

Our membership demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and APCO provides support to ensure we meet our regulatory obligations. As part of our membership requirements, we are constantly measuring, tracking and improving our sustainable packaging performance. 

The first Covenant was developed in 1999 to bring all components of the packaging chain together, close the recycling loop and create value by developing sustainable recycling systems.
